Refund policy
At LitKart, we strive to ensure that every book reaches you in perfect condition. However, if there is an issue with your order, we are here to help.
This policy applies to books purchased from our website and delivered within India.
1) Return Window
You can request a return or replacement within 2 days of delivery, based on the delivery date shown on the courier tracking.
Requests submitted after this period will not be eligible for return or replacement.
2) Eligible Reasons for Return or Replacement
Returns or replacements will be accepted only in genuine cases such as:
1. Wrong Product Received
• The book title, author, or format is different from what you ordered.
2. Printing Defects
• Misprints
• Missing pages
• Duplicate pages
• Incorrect page order
• Major binding defects
3.Damaged or Missing Items (Parcel opening Video Mandatory)
• Books damaged during transit
• Missing items in the shipment (short shipment)
3. Cases Not Covered
Returns or replacements will not be accepted in the following situations:
• Change of mind after purchase
• Order placed by mistake
• Minor marks or dents on outer packaging that do not affect readability
• Slight cosmetic imperfections
• Quality of the book not upto your satisfaction.
• Damage occurring after delivery due to storage conditions, moisture, or misuse
4. How to Request a Return or Replacement
To initiate a request, please email us at: litkartbooksllp@gmail.com within 2 days of delivery with the following details:
Subject:
Return/Replacement – Order ID
Details to include:
• Order ID
• Issue type (Wrong Product / Damaged / Printing Defect / Missing Item)
• Short description of the issue
Photos Required
Please attach clear photos of:
• The book cover
• The affected/damaged area
• The outer shipping box with the courier label visible
Important:
For damaged or missing items, an unboxing video is mandatory to process the refund or replacement request.Once we receive your request, our team will review the details and guide you with the next steps.
5. Return Pickup Process
If your request is approved:
Pickup Arrangement
We will arrange a reverse pickup where available and provide packing instructions. A one side shipment fee will be applicable and the same shall be deducted from your refund amount.
Condition of Return
Please ensure the book is returned in its original condition, along with any inserts, freebies, or packaging included in the shipment.
Quality Check
Once the returned item reaches our warehouse, it will undergo a quality verification process.
6. Resolution Options
After verification, we will provide one of the following resolutions:
Replacement (Preferred Option)
A replacement copy of the same title/edition will be shipped if it is available in stock.
Reshipment of Missing Items
Any missing books from the order will be shipped to you.
Refund
If the item is unavailable for replacement or the case qualifies for a refund, the payment will be refunded as per the policy below.
7. Refund Method & Timeline
Prepaid Orders
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used during checkout.
Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders
Refunds will be processed via:
• UPI
• Bank transfer
• Store credit ( preferred)
Refunds are typically processed within 5–7 business days after verification of the returned item.
Please note that it may take additional time for banks or payment providers to reflect the refund in your account.
